Is my AI-built app ready for real users?
Samuel Demers Software engineer and CTO with about 15 years of experience across software development, architecture, infrastructure, hiring, and technical leadership.
Ready means real users can sign in, pay, and use the app without exposing customer data or secrets. A Technical Review from Gotologic checks an app you built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, or a similar tool and says what must change before you open it.
What this is for
You built the app in Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Replit, or v0. It works when you click through it. You are about to let real people sign in or pay, and you cannot tell whether their data and your payments are actually protected.
What we look at
- Who can see or change customer data, including a visitor who is not signed in.
- Secrets in the browser, such as keys and admin access a visitor can read.
- Sign-in and payment checks that a visitor cannot skip.
- Whether you can restore the app and its data if something goes wrong.
- Whether you can keep going with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, or the tool you already use.
What you get
You get a written report in plain language, and the report is yours to keep. It says what to fix before real users arrive, and what can wait. Written report within 5 business days, plus a 60-minute session to go through it. Sign a sprint, an Automation Spike or a first Fractional CTO month within 30 days of your report and the full US$399 Review fee comes off its first invoice. If the report doesn't give you at least 3 prioritised actions you didn't already have, tell me within 7 days and I'll refund the full fee. You keep the report.
What I need from you
A link to the product and, if you have it, read-only access to the code. No access? We start from what's visible.
What this is not
This isn't a full security audit (penetration test). Not included: rebuilding the app, or reviewing an idea that isn't built yet.
Everyone I've done a demo of my software with is blown away by it. And that's from the first iteration as an MVP! …
Technical Review is US$399, one-time, with the report included.
Questions
I built this in Lovable, Bolt, or Cursor. Is that in scope?
Yes. Replit and v0 are included too, when the app already exists and is live or about to take real users or payments.
The app is not public yet. Can I start?
Yes, if it is built and you are about to let real people sign in or pay. An idea that isn't built yet is not included.
Is this a penetration test?
This isn't a full security audit (penetration test). We check who can reach customer data, whether secrets sit in the browser, whether a visitor can skip sign-in or payment checks, and whether you can restore the data.
Can I keep going with the tools I already use?
The review answers that for Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, or the tool you used. The report says what you can keep doing there, and what has to change before real users arrive.
Will you tell me to start over?
Rarely. The goal is to fix what blocks launch and keep what works.
What is the next step after the review?
If there's work to do, I'll quote the first step as a fixed-price 30-day sprint. Or take the report to anyone. It's yours.
